My Spending Plan sends bill due and financial task reminders via email. Users can also track their total savings and customize their personal planning portal. My Spending Plan uses the tried and true envelope budgeting system. The application also helps users save more money on purchases, from home buying transactions to purchasing of weekly groceries or beauty products. My Spending Plan was created in 2005 by Plans365 Inc., which was previously named American Homeownership Association, LLC. Based out of Royal Oak, Missouri, the company focuses on helping consumers manage their finances through budgets, spending tracking and more. The My Spending Plan team includes real estate and financial professionals as well as software developers.

My Spending Plan approaches money saving from many angles. The main attraction is the use of the envelope budgeting system, which has proven very effective for many years. The system gives users a way to automate and handle spending online without the use of actual cash in envelopes. This reduces the chances of lost or stolen funds.
